Project statement

Fragments of Humanity begins from a difficult fact: human beings are routinely judged before they are understood. Physical appearance influences who is perceived as trustworthy, vulnerable, desirable, threatening, intelligent, or fully human.

The series fractures and reconstructs recognizable bodies without eliminating their humanity, interrupting ordinary habits of recognition and judgment.
